The Couple’s Story

Anne-Marie and Peter were introduced to me through a mutual friend, and from our very first chat, I could tell they wanted a ceremony that was filled with religious aspects, authentic, warm, and full of personality. Their wedding was set in their local GAA club, a space filled with community and meaning for them both. They dreamed of a ceremony that felt like a traditional chapel experience, but with the freedom and intimacy of a celebrant-led event.

Their Vision

They asked for a ceremony that was light-hearted yet meaningful, one that reflected their journey as a couple while keeping their guests engaged and connected. It was especially important to them that the service had the structure and sacred feel of a chapel but was still personal, inclusive, and relaxed.

The Experience

Anne-Marie and Peter described me as "extremely professional” and said I brought “a light to the service.” They also shared how nothing ever felt like a problem and that the entire process felt effortless and smooth.

We worked closely together to tailor a ceremony that included personal vows, special readings, a unity candle, handfasting, and even a touch of humour to reflect their dynamic. The setting may have been unconventional, but the atmosphere we created together was filled with love, and genuine joy.
